Title: Nonuniform Nonorientable Nonsurfaces

Artist’s Statement: This set of knitted objects represents nonorientable surfaces of genus 1, 2, 3, and 4. They were made in different yarns, at various times over the past several years, and happened to collect together in one corner of my knitted-ob jects box. Thus they are nonuniform in both time and material; they are clearly nonorientable; and, they are not surfaces because each has a boundary in lieu of a self-intersection.
